Texas is eliminating most car security inspections beginning January 2025. Which means that drivers in Texas will now not be required to get their autos inspected yearly. This variation is anticipated to avoid wasting drivers money and time.
The choice to remove car security inspections was made by the Texas Legislature in 2021. The legislation that eradicated the inspections was signed by Governor Greg Abbott in June 2021. The legislation goes into impact on January 1, 2025.
