Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2025, held yearly within the twin-island republic, is a vibrant and colourful competition celebrating the nation’s wealthy cultural heritage. Carnival’s origins may be traced again to the 18th century, when enslaved Africans introduced their traditions and customs to the islands. Through the years, the competition has developed into a novel mix of African, European, and Caribbean influences.
